Where You Come In

Summit Stairs & Millwork is expanding, and we're hiring Box Truck Drivers for our Garner, NC location! This role is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of stairs and millwork products to customers, ensuring timely and professional service. This position reports directly to the Shipping Manager.

What You'll Do
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections; report maintenance issues or defects.
• Adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and safety standards.
• Maintain accurate fuel receipt records for monthly audits.
• Load and unload products; verify orders against work tickets.
• Report overages, shortages, or damages accurately and promptly.
• Email proof-of-delivery photos to the Shipping Manager.
• Deliver orders on schedule and in good condition.
• Represent Summit professionally and courteously with all customers.
• Relay customer feedback or concerns to the Shipping Manager.

What You'll Bring
• Valid driver's license and clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).
• DOT certification is a plus!
• Consistent, reliable attendance.
• Ability to drive box trucks up to 20 feet in length.
• Experience using hand trucks, ramps, pallet jacks, and similar equipment.
• Physical ability to team-lift up to 200 lbs.
• Comfortable climbing, kneeling, or crawling as required.
• Strong visual acuity, including depth perception.
• Must own a mobile phone for GPS navigation and email.

Pay & Schedule
• Full-time, hands-on role based in Garner, NC.
• Monday-Friday schedule, with occasional overtime as needed.
• $18-20 per hour, based on experience.
