Job Overview

TheFacilitiesElectricianisresponsibleforperformingskilledelectricalworktosupportthemaintenance,repair,andefficientoperationofallbuildingandfacilitysystems.Thisroleensureselectricalreliabilityandsafetythroughpreventativemaintenance,troubleshooting,andrepairofelectricalcomponentsandequipment.

Responsibilities

  • Adheretoallcompanysafetypolicies,procedures,andtrainingprogramstoensureasafeandcompliantworkenvironment.
  • Collaborateeffectivelyandrespectfullywithinadiverse,multiculturalteamtosupportfacilitygoalsandinitiatives.
  • Performskilledelectricalworkrelatedtobuildingandfacilitymaintenance,ensuringreliabilityandoperationalefficiency.
  • Conductpreventativemaintenance,inspections,andrepairsonawiderangeofelectricalsystemsandequipment.
  • Utilizediagnostic,measuring,andtestinginstrumentstoidentifyelectricalissuesandverifysuccessfulrepairs.
  • Calculateandassesselectricalloadrequirementstomaintaincompliancewithelectricalcodesandoptimizesystemperformance.
  • Accuratelydocumentallmaintenanceactivitiesandrecorddetailedworkinformationinthecompanysmaintenancemanagementsystem.
  • Performadditionaldutiesasassignedtosupportongoingfacilityoperationsandmaintenanceneeds.

Requirements

  • ValidTexasStateJourneymanElectricianLicensestronglypreferred.
  • HighSchoolDiplomaorGEDequivalentrequired.
  • Completionofanaccreditedelectricalapprenticeshipprogramorvocational / tradeschoolinelectricaltechnologyisstronglypreferred.
  • ValidDriversLicense.
  • 6+yearsofelectricalexperienceinresidential,commercial,industrial,manufacturing,orfacilitiesenvironmentspreferred.
  • Proficiencyinreadingandinterpretingblueprints,electricaldiagrams,andschematics.
  • Strongdiagnostic,troubleshooting,andrepairskillsacrossarangeofelectricalsystems.
  • Basiccomputerliteracyandfamiliaritywithmaintenancesoftware.
  • Flexibilitytoworklongershifts,includingweekends,asrequired.
