Facilities Engineer IV

Our Client, a Business Manufacturing and Supply company, is looking for a Facilities Engineer IV for their Hickory, NC location.

Responsibilities :

• Develop and manage multi-year equipment upgrade / replacement plans.
• Manage facilities engineering projects.
• Develop and manage the preventative maintenance program for all plant support equipment such as the following : HVAC systems, Chillers, Compressed Air Systems, Plumbing, Power Distribution, Exhaust Fans, Roll-Up Doors, etc.
• Develop, maintain, and upgrade (as required) the Control Systems for Chilled Water, Water Filtration, Compound Delivery and Silos, Building Automation System (BAS), and other Facilities-Related Data Monitoring Systems.
• Support maintenance on plant processing equipment.
• Manage and coordinate all outside vendors and contractors supporting the facility in the following areas : HVAC systems, Chillers, Roof Maintenance and Replacement, Roll-Up Doors, Cleaning Services, Plumbing, Exhaust Fans, Lawn Care, and Snow Removal.
• Establish project plans (scope, schedule, cost estimates, procurement / contracting strategy, project acceptance criteria, etc.) for facilities related projects.
• Monitor performance and troubleshoot any type of alarms for plant support systems such as the following : Chilled Water, Water Filtration, Compound Delivery and Silos, Building Automation System (BAS), and other Facilities-Related Data Monitoring Systems.
• Provide project management and coordination for key facilities projects.
• Assist in the evaluation and verify justification for projects.
• Establish project teams working with plant and / or outside contractors.
• Prepare and route Appropriation Requests as necessary.
• Provide periodic project updates to Plant Personnel and Staff.
• Support Plant Safety and Environmental Programs.
• Ensure compliance with external regulatory and internal company policies.
