Pre Wire Assembler 1 2nd Shift Monday - Friday 3 : 00pm - 11 : 00pm

Position Summary : Join our team as an Assembler 1 where you'll manufacture and assemble various mechanical and basic electrical units used in electrical distribution systems.

Essential Functions :

  • Read shop drawings and wiring diagrams
  • Interpret Bills of Materials (BOMs) to determine component parts and assembly sequences
  • Make electrical connections according to specifications
  • Assemble parts, position, align, and fasten assemblies using hand and power tools
  • Modify parts using machine tools and power and pneumatic hand tools
  • Measure parts to determine tolerances using tape measures and precision measuring instruments
  • Attach labels and mark identifying information on parts
  • Adhere to company policies, guidelines, and SECRIT values

Additional Duties :

  • Cross-train to work in other plant departments
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management

    • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :

  • Tool selection
  • Oral comprehension
  • Ability to operate cordless hand tools, power tools, and pneumatic tools
  • Ability to read shop drawings and wiring diagrams preferred
  • Ability to read a standard tape measure
  • Ability to work in a cohesive team environment

    • Minimum Qualifications :

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • One year of manufacturing experience preferred

    • Working Conditions / Physical Requirements :

  • Lifting : Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs occasionally; up to 25 lbs often
  • Finger Dexterity : Precisely coordinated movements of the fingers to grasp, manipulate, or assemble small objects
  • Manual Dexterity : Quick hand movements to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects
  • Arm-Hand Steadiness : Keep hand and arm steady while moving or holding in one position
  • Vision : Ability to see details at close range and differentiate colors of wires
