Qualifications / Educational Requirements for Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

Certification and Licensing :

Must provide an original, current, valid State of Florida license, or

Provide appropriate documentation as required by the state in which they are practicing, meeting the minimum qualifications.

Experience :

Minimum of three (3) years of full-time experience in direct patient / client care in an institutional setting (hospital or nursing facility), or

Three (3) years of full-time experience within the last five (5) years in direct patient / client care in an agency setting.

Home health experience preferred.

Skills :

Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

Good verbal and written communication skills.

Additional Requirements :

Valid state driver’s license.

Reliable automobile with current automobile insurance.

Current health certificate / physical examination and TB testing results.

Current CPR certification.
