Job Summary :

The Junior Marketing Specialist will work with the Director of Marketing to execute strategies which support the overall brand and communications strategy for Southwestern Baptist Theological (SWBTS) and Texas Baptist College (TBC). Responsibilities include consulting with departments to understand marketing and communications needs, managing social media, developing digital content, writing advertising copy, and delivering content to advertisers. The desired candidate is a highly motivated, detail-oriented individual who is willing to learn new systems and tools quickly, with a basic working knowledge of branding principles and digital marketing and communications.

Essential Job Functions / Responsibilities

• Assist with the management of social media channels for SWBTS and TBC.
• Identify and monitor key performance indicators for measuring the impact of social media campaigns and platform development. Analyze, review, and report on effectiveness of campaigns in an effort to maximize results.
• Research and develop new digital tools and tactics to support the SWBTS marketing strategy, particularly on social media.
• Write advertising copy and ensure ad content is delivered to advertisers.
• Prioritize and manage projects, adhering to critical project timelines in a fast-paced environment.
• Work creatively in a team-setting, learning new tools and systems as needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned and specific to area of responsibility.
