JOB SUMMARY
The Training Manager, Sales is primarily responsible for leading and delivering sales training and professional development programs that enhance selling skills, product knowledge, customer engagement, and talent retention across DuraServ. This role partners closely with senior Sales Leaders to ensure training strategies align with DuraServ’s business priorities, Goal Card principles, and sales goals. The scope of the role includes leading the Sales Onboarding and Mentor Program, Sales Internship Program, the sales talent development initiatives, and the ongoing sales capability development to reinforce consistent sales methodology adoption and increase successful team performance. Additional responsibilities include facilitation of the company’s Learning Journey programs which build key competencies and skills at the line management level.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Develop, facilitate, and evaluate instructor-led, virtual, on-demand and on-the-job sales training programs. The scope includes facilitation of the company’s professional development programs designed for career pathing and retaining top talent.
- Responsible for establishing a talent pipeline of sales professionals through a formal Sales Internship Program in collaboration with Talent Acquisition’s college recruitment strategy. Lead and own the Sales Onboarding and Mentor Program to accelerate time-to-productivity.
- Coach and reinforce sales methodologies through practice sessions, field shadowing, and skill labs. Have a good understanding of applicable technologies that enable sales professionals to be more effective and efficient in their job.
- Collaborate with Sales Leadership to identify performance gaps and create targeted learning interventions.
- Responsible for understanding our supplier providers and ensuring product training resources and events are current and readily available for Sales to utilize in pitches, contracts, and building green field territories.
- Manage and maintain training content within the LMS (e.g., Litmos), ensuring accessibility and relevance.
- Monitor and analyze training effectiveness through participant feedback, performance metrics, and sales KPIs.
- Support the design and implementation of DuraServ’s Sales Academy and contribute to sales learning pathways aligned with career progression.
- Support company sales events and learning reinforcement sessions during kickoff and regional workshops.
- Responsible for the successful integration of sales training with newly acquired businesses.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This position operates in a blended environment, including both corporate office and field or classroom settings. The role requires periods of sitting at a desk while developing materials and working on a computer, as well as standing for extended periods while facilitating training sessions or workshops.This is not a remote job and is required to be based in the corporate headquarters.Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times (training materials or equipment).PLANNED BUSINESS TRAVEL
This job may require up to 20% business travel for regional workshops, sales events or training facilitation.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent is required. Bachelor's degree is highly preferred.5+ years of experience in a direct sales role, professional sales training, and / or learning and development preferred.Experience with sales methodologies such as SPIN Selling, Challenger, or Sandler preferred. Certification in training design or delivery Challenger™, SPIN Selling™ (Huthwaite or Miller Heiman Group). Sandler Training Certification, Miller Heiman Strategic Selling® / Conceptual Selling® Certification, Richardson Consultative Selling, ValueSelling Framework® Certification a plus.Must have platform training experience and familiarity with career pathing strategies.EEO STATEMENT
