Practice Description
SG Therapy Group is a boutique-style uses a strengths-based perspective to help clients identify and reach their goals while considering the individual needs and desires of each client. By viewing individuals within the context of their environment, the group gains a holistic understanding of clients and the external stressors they face. The group strives to create a non-judgmental, safe, and supportive environment that empowers clients to fully utilize the therapeutic space. SG Therapy Group integrates a range of treatment modalities that are tailored to the individual. Therapists here are experienced in working with diverse populations, addressing issues such as anxiety, depression, mood disorders, perfectionism, self-concept, adjustment, trauma, and abuse.
Role Description
This is a full-time (at least 20 clients per week) on-site role for a Therapist based in Chicago, IL. Therapist must be able to provide in-person individual or couples therapy sessions at least two times per week with rest of schedule being virtual. The Therapist will be responsible for providing individual therapy sessions, conducting client assessments, developing treatment plans, maintaining detailed client records, and maintain regular and timely communication with clients and intake requests. The role includes utilizing various therapeutic modalities, coordinating with other healthcare providers, and participating in case consultations and team meetings to ensure comprehensive client care.
Qualifications
Experience in providing individual or couples therapy sessionsProficiency in a variety of therapeutic modalitiesAbility to conduct client assessments and develop treatment plansStrong communication and interpersonal skillsExperience working with diverse populations and addressing issues such as anxiety, depression, mood disorders, and traumaAbility to manage emergencies and provide crisis intervention.Ability to maintain accurate and up to date records.Necessary knowledge of professional ethical standards and state and federal laws and regulations regarding maintaining confidentiality, as well as the limitations and exceptions to maintaining confidentiality.Master's degree or higher in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related fieldLicensure in the state of Illinois (LCSW, LCPC, LMFT, or equivalent) OR at least 1 year of direct hours pre-licensed in the state of Illinois (LSW, LPC, or equivalent)Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environmentCommitment to ongoing professional development and growthWhat We Offer
