About the Role:

Accounting Manager responsible for accounting activities for FIS' Capital Markets Lending software and service solutions an approximate $500m revenue business.

About the Team:

This role will report to a Sr. Manager/Controller within the Capital Markets segment accounting team. This position will work closely with but not limited to FP&A, Corporate & Technical Accounting, sales, billing, A/R, collections and FIS' offshore accounting and finance partner.

What You Will Be Doing:

1. Oversee the monthly revenue accounting close for the Capital Markets Lending Software and Solutions business.
2. Review and analyze the monthly income statement and balance sheet for Lending Software and Solutions business.
3. Ensure complex revenue arrangements are accurately recorded in accordance with guidance from the technical accounting team and underlying transactional activity.
4. Review and approve balance sheet reconciliations and journal entries
5. Ensure compliance with FIS accounting policies, procedures, and practices.
6. Collaborate with FP&A on monthly results and assess the impact of accounting for customer transactions on forecasts.
7. Work closely with internal and external auditors, as well as the SOX team.
8. Support other activities as needed such as acquisition integration and system implementation and upgrades,

What You Will Need:

• Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting and finance experience, preferably at a Big 4 affiliated accounting firm or a combination of experience at Big 4 affiliated accounting firm and in a corporate accounting department of a multi-national company.
• Knowledge of Oracle financial systems, Hyperion/Essbase reporting tools and strong excel skills
• CPA or equivalent preferred
• Requires strong organizational, team building, coaching and mentoring skills
• Requires general business skills, industry knowledge, financial management and planning skills, long-term vision and executive presence
• Ability to utilize judgment in decision making process and decisions related to job tasks
• Excellent skills in communicating ideas both verbally and in written form in a clear, concise and professional manner including presentations
• Ability to design, document and implement process improvements
• Strong system management/control experience
• Extensive knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and their application in a large, diverse organization
• Skill in productivity, planning, and workload management
• Ability to analyze financial results
