Blue Ridge Public Radio (BPR), the nonprofit public media company of Western North Carolina, is searching for a Development Communications Specialist . This role is ideal for a dynamic and motivated communications professional with a strong background in proposal writing, social media fundraising campaigns, and nonprofit outreach. The successful candidate will be highly organized, able to inter-departmentally cross-train and will support BPR’s mission by securing funding through grants, contributing to fundraising initiatives, and developing communications materials. This role requires creativity, attention to detail, care for results, and a passion for the intersection of public media and community engagement.

Annual salary range of $54,000-58,000 - Depending on Experience

Grant Writing and Proposal Development (25%)
Digital Campaign Strategy (25%)
Pledge Drive and Fundraising Initiative Support (20%)

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in related field OR equivalent work experience
Physically work in Asheville office (not remote)
Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
Accept a background check to be performed
