Mims Management Group is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Payroll Specialist to join our team and ensure accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, understands the nuances of payroll systems, and values clear communication with employees.
Key Responsibilities :
- Process semimonthly payroll using ADP Workforce Now and QuickBooks
- Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
- Serve as a liaison between HR and employees for payroll, benefits, and timekeeping inquiries
- Administer employee benefits including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies
- Reconcile payroll reports and assist with audits and year-end filings (W-2, 1099, etc.)
- Support onboarding and offboarding processes related to compensation and benefits
- Collaborate with finance and HR teams to improve payroll workflows and reporting accuracy
Qualifications :
2+ years of payroll experience, preferably in a multi-state environmentProficiency in ADP and QuickBooks is requiredStrong understanding of employee benefits administrationExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsHigh level of discretion and confidentialityAbility to troubleshoot discrepancies and resolve employee concerns professionallyPreferred Skills :
Experience with HRIS platforms and timekeeping systemsFamiliarity with ACA, FMLA, and other compliance frameworksMicrosoft Office proficiency for payroll reporting and reconciliation
