Sr UX / UI Designer Job at Henry Schein in Seattle

This position is 100% remote within the United States. Job Summary

We are looking for a Senior UX Designer to lead design for a large area of the Henry Schein One product portfolio. You're an experienced product designer who has deep empathy for customers and excels in complex systems thinking to create a seamless user experience. You have experience across research, UI, and UX design, with deep expertise in at least one area. You are excited to do the design work, but can also mentor, or even directly manage, a small team of designers in your designated product area.

This is a highly interactive role requiring the skills of a team player who can dig into the details of business requirements with sometimes complex technical constraints. You'll bring knowledge of design best practices, identify research needs in the product roadmap, and actively manage and facilitate communications with stakeholders.

What You Will Do

• Deeply understand customer needs, pain points, and preferences to solve complex problems for our customers through comprehensive customer research and interviews
• Lead the design of user interfaces, which involves creating prototypes to validate design ideas, as well as detailed design specifications for the finished product
• Partner closely with product managers and engineers throughout the product lifecycle, seeking frequent feedback, and integrating multiple considerations into your work
• Integrate business constraints into design decisions, maintaining relevance and quality
• Facilitate design thinking initiatives, retrospectives, and critiques.
• Scope voice-of-customer research with our clients, analyze insights, shepherd research studies, and provide usability assessments to improve our products
• Mentor, or even directly manage, a small team of junior designers

Qualifications

Must Haves

The posted range for this position is $96,000 - $168,000 which is the expected starting base salary range for an employee who is new to the role to fully proficient in the role. Many factors go into determining employee pay within the posted range including prior experience, current skills, location / labor market, internal equity, etc. This position is eligible for a 10% bonus not reflected in the posted range.
