Lead AI Engineer

Provox Global is seeking an experienced Lead AI Engineer to drive our conversational AI platform development and lead technical initiatives across our Google Cloud Platform-based infrastructure. This role involves knowledge transfer from our current Chief Engineer and will evolve into leading a growing engineering team focused on AI-powered voice and chat interfaces for healthcare applications.

Key Responsibilities

Conversational AI & DialogFlow Management

• Design, develop, and maintain DialogFlow CX implementations as the core human interface controller
• Optimize voice assistant (VA / VAS) and chat / text experiences
• Configure and manage DialogFlow Phone Gateway integrations
• Monitor and resolve AI hallucinations while ensuring coherent customer dialog
• Implement proper AI grounding techniques for reliable interactions
• Develop and maintain Node.js Cloud Functions for business logic layer
• Build intermediate APIs and JSON-based services
• Configure and optimize GCP environments, environment variables, and deployment pipelines
• Monitor system performance, CPU usage, and implement alerting systems
• Ensure high-volume concurrency handling with proper variable locking and storage optimization
• Manage code versioning and migration strategies
• Maintain and optimize integrations with healthcare systems (Dentrix, EzText, PhoneNumLookup)
• Design and implement webhook architectures
• Build monitoring solutions for no-match phrases, call disconnects, and conversation dead-ends
• Develop business operations dashboards (Power BI or similar)
