Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol in Groveport, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within a logistics and distribution location. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents and provide peace of mind to employees and visitors. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible, and deliver exceptional customer service through clear communication. Pay Rate : $20.00 / Hour

Job Schedule : Day Time

Tue 03 : 00 PM - 11 : 00 PM

Wed 03 : 00 PM - 11 : 00 PM

Thur 03 : 00 PM - 11 : 00 PM

Fri 03 : 00 PM - 11 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and / or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the logistics and distribution location, including the business premises and perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Observe and report any suspicious activities or potential hazards encountered during patrols.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying credentials, and documenting visitor and vehicle information as required.
  • Communicate promptly with Allied Universal management and site contacts regarding incidents, issues, or concerns encountered during shifts.
  • Support emergency response efforts by following established protocols and assisting first responders as directed.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed logs and reports of daily activities, incidents, and observations.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • A valid guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
