Customer Service Representative

Cary, NC | Onsite

COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE

  • $20.40 / hour
  • Mon–Fri : 11 : 30am–8 : 00pm
  • W2, Full-Time
  • Start Date : ASAP

ROLE IMPACT : As a key member of the customer service team, you’ll ensure timely and accurate communication with patients regarding prescription fulfillment, payment coordination, and delivery scheduling. This role minimizes workflow disruptions and supports patient satisfaction by triaging inbound inquiries and updating patient profiles within pharmacy systems.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Respond to high-volume inbound calls regarding prescription status, financials, and general inquiries
  • Schedule medication deliveries and process payment details to support timely shipment
  • Transfer calls to clinical staff (nurses / pharmacists) for escalated concerns or adverse events
  • Maintain accurate and concise call documentation within management systems
  • Verify insurance, refill needs, and issue invoices as requested by patients
  • MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1+ year call center or phone-based customer service experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Minimum typing speed of 35 WPM
  • Ability to manage patient-sensitive data with professionalism
  • CORE TOOLS & SYSTEMS

  • Pharmacy Management Systems
  • Call Center Telephony Platforms
  • CRM or Case Management Tools
  • Typing / Keyboard Proficiency Tools
  • Microsoft Outlook
  • EMR / EHR systems (for internal routing)
  • PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Bilingual (Spanish or other language)
  • Previous experience in healthcare or pharmacy environment
  • Familiarity with HIPAA-compliant communication
