About The Position

Job Title : CT Technologist

Profession : CT Technologist

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Rotating Shifts, including weekends

Hours per Shift : 12 hours

Experience : Minimum 3 years of experience

License : Unexpired Driver's License required

Certifications : BLS, WV X-ray License, WV CARES, ARRT (CT) preferred

Must-Have :

Must have IV experience.

Must be able to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.

Description :

Position involves performing CT scans of head, chest, abdomen, pelvis, and extremities.

Biopsy procedures and sterile tray setup may also be required.

Training for biopsy procedures will be provided if necessary.

Department has 2 CT rooms with 3 technologists on duty daily, supported by nursing staff.

Average number of scans / studies performed is 65 per day.

Department utilizes Community Works for EMR and Intellirad / Intelliconnect for PACS.

Equipment includes GE VCT 64 slice and Siemens Somatom Definition 64 slice CT scanners.

Radiologists are available in-house 24 / 7 until 5 PM and on call after that.

Position requires starting IVs.

Technologists will work a 2, 2, 3 shift rotation.

Shifts include a mix of day, evening, and midnight hours.

Technologists may be the only tech on-site during overnight shifts.

Dress code allows for any clean and professional color of scrubs.

Five shifts with a preceptor are included for department-specific orientation.

Cancellation policy allows for two shifts to be canceled during 13-week assignments.
