About the Position
An exciting opportunity to join the Land Systems Global Engineering Leadership Team, to lead a dynamic group of Configuration Management, Engineering, and Data Management professionals responsible for planning, tracking, managing, and communicating product configuration across our product portfolio both internally and with our customers.
As the CM Verification and Data Management Area Manager, you will lead a team of professionals across a broad portfolio of wheeled and tracked ground combat vehicle platforms, reporting to the Configuration Management Department Manager. You and your team will have the responsibility to ensure the planning, management, implementation, contract compliance, and delivery of configuration management products and contract deliverables across our development programs and existing product portfolio. You and your team will manage schedule, staffing demands, execution, and risk along with internal and external customer relationships. To be successful, you will need exceptional leadership, communication, problem solving and organizational skills, while being able to identify and navigate our matrixed organizational structure.

Ensure and oversee on-time delivery of quality Configuration and Data Management practices and Configured Deliverables across programs directly and via your teamIncluding key metrics for progress, quality and schedule
Evaluate contracts for scope of work and identify key CM / DM activities and deliverables (CDRLs)Grow the team's capability and scope regarding BOM quality managementEnsure department CLM records and dashboards are up to date and properly actionedProvide programs with swift and accurate compliance tagging of newly released parts and other commoditiesSupport Engineering Project Management and Program Management Offices with customer engagements and meetings as it relates to CM / DMEnsure that demand for staffing is managed / met based on engagement with other engineering functionsAs required, make prioritization decisions to balance program / project delivery needs with the available talent pool provided by the Engineering matrix organizationsEngage directly as necessary to bid new work / projects and creation of estimates associated with Configuration and Data Management activitiesSupport major activities / milestones such as CM Plans, ERR / ECP deliverables, compliance tagging, TDP and other department CDRLs.Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or higherMinimum of 10 years relevant work experienceProven experience in managerial or leadership roleExperience with Bill of Material, and individual parts management and releaseStrong understanding of configuration and data management principles, methodologies, and best practicesDemonstrated high level of autonomous decision-making ability, with excellent organizational, problem solving, written and interpersonal skillsAbility to build relationships with internal stakeholders and external customersDemonstrated ability to work multiple requirements, challenges and opportunities concurrentlyPreferred Skills and Experience
Driven dynamic leader with courage to drive changeMBA / MS qualificationsExperience implementing and executing Configuration Management practicesFinancial and / or budgetary management / forecasting experienceFamiliarity with vehicle architecture, systems and subsystems (ground combat vehicles specifically even better)Familiarity with specific tools (PLM) Teamcenter, (ERP) Oracle, (CAD) CREO / NX, Contracts Lifecycle Management (CLM)Familiarity and experience working within sensitive and or classified program environmentAdditional Information
