Insight Global is hiring : Medical Designer in Oshkosh

Job Summary Insight Global is looking for a layout designer to join the team of one of their top customers in Oshkosh, WI. The Layout Designer will support engineers by creating and updating drawing layouts using Creo CAD software. This role involves developing new and modified components and Bills of Materials (BOMs) in accordance with Oshkosh standards. The ideal candidate will be proactive, collaborative, and eager to lead and learn in a team environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Update existing drawings based on engineering markups and re-master CAD drawings to current formats.

Create 2D and 3D layouts using Creo CAD software under the direction of the design team.

Perform self-checks to ensure accuracy, proper dimensioning, and adherence to CAD standards.

Generate part numbers and enter data into ERP systems following naming conventions and data requirements.

Minimum Qualifications

Associate degree in Mechanical Design or equivalent

At least 2 years of experience in drafting / design

Experience with Creo CAD system

Familiarity with Windchill

Experience with Model-Based Definition (MBD) in automotive and / or aerospace industries

Prior experience on defense / government programs

CAC card required

Preferred Qualifications

Associate degree or equivalent with 3+ years of drafting / design experience

GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) Certification

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Detail-oriented and adaptable to fast-paced environments

Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, including SharePoint and email

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

Demonstrated leadership and teamwork skills
