Position Title : Medical Records Technician

Reports to : Business Development and Staffing Manager

Location : Washington, D.C.

Employment Status : Full-Time

FLSA Status : Non-Exempt

Position Summary : Aldevra is currently seeking a qualified Medical Records Technician to support the District of Columbia Army National Guard (DCARNG) in Washington, D.C. This position is contingent upon contract award.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following :

  • Create and implement medical policies and procedures for the National Guard.
  • Develop and execute medical readiness policies and procedures.
  • Promote health promotion principles and provide health care supervision.
  • Develop and coordinate medical training for individuals, units, and leaders.
  • All other duties as assigned.

    Requirements :

    Security Requirements :

  • Must be able to obtain CAC clearance.
  • This position requires passing an extensive background check.

    Qualifications :

  • An associate degree, vocational training in health information management or a related military certification is preferred.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA, privacy and security
  • Experience in medical records management or related administrative roles
  • Understanding of medical terminology to accurately interpret and manage medical records.
  • Valid driver's license
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and telephone manner
  • Excellent and accurate written communication
  • Familiarity with Windows operating systems; online calendars and cloud systems; intermediate to advanced skills Microsoft office products required
  • Excellent attention to detail; accurate data entry
  • Customer Focused and team-oriented work ethic
  • Able to multi-task efficiently and accurately, focusing on quality
