CRNA
The CRNA, under a physician’s medical direction / supervision, administers intravenous, general, regional, and local anesthetics as needed for surgical operations, deliveries, and other medical and dental procedures. Responsible for the control of the flow of gases or injected fluids to maintain the needed anesthetic state of the patient. CRNA monitors vital signs, reaction to interventions to determine the status of the patient, and carries out emergency measures when indicated. Must keep the physician advised of the patient’s condition and maintain records of the preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative state of the patient and all anesthesia and medication given.
Qualifications : 1. Must hold current Certified Nurse Anesthetist Certification to practice in the state of Louisiana. 2. Current Louisiana RN license. 3. Current Louisiana Advance Practice RN licensure.
