We’re looking for an Intermediate Quality Associate responsible for performing quality control inspections using inspection equipment to ensure products are correctly identified and meet established specifications.Our distribution center is located in McCook, IL. - Ensures all products being accepted and inventoried are correctly identified and meet quality standards according to established specifications.
- Performs quality control inspections, including visual inspection and measuring of parts, to monitor and evaluate the quality of product received from suppliers.
- Uses inspection equipment to record and analyze product and identify non-compliant or non-conforming product. Notes any relevant deviations from existing standards. Returns non-conforming product.
- Understands regulatory compliance, ensuring regulatory compliance with federal and state laws, as well as company standards and specifications.
- Performs core and non-core chemical inspections to ensure correct labelling, proper label placement and naming requirements.
- Communicates quality or compliance concerns with urgency.
- Prepares and maintains inspection reports, recording observations and documenting quality issues for management review.
- Performs stock audits to monitor product quality.
- May perform other inventory control duties, including confirmation of barcoded content, input of spreadsheet data, cycle counts of inventory, making adjusting as necessary.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements :
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) with 3 years of experience in one or more of the following roles : Production / Manufacturing, Inventory Control, QC Inspection, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Able to work within a structured environment with strong attention to detailExperience with Microsoft Office applications, including competency in Outlook, Word and Excel.Experience with an ERP system.General office skills.Strong analytic skills, including problem solving and organization.Effective communication with colleagues.Ability to work independently and multi-task.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
