As a Parks And Facilities Maintenance Tech, you will play a critical role in ensuring our parks, recreational facilities, and other public spaces are well-maintained, safe, and inviting for all members of our community. Your hands-on work will directly contribute to the quality of life and enjoyment of our residents. This position offers a 4-9 hour shifts with a half-day on Fridays. Job duties include a variety of maintenance activities for all City owned parks and facilities, maintaining and repairing irrigation systems, installing and maintaining horticultural areas, performing litter and trash removal, cleaning restrooms and assisting with special events and programs as needed. Primary Duties And Responsibilities :
- Performs general repairs and maintenance to city owned facilities, buildings and parks to include mowing, weed eating, edging, tree pruning, play structures, pavilions, irrigation, lighting, parking lots, restroom cleaning, pest and weed control and trash removal.
- Performs landscaping duties at the City's parks and facilities by mowing and edging lawns, removing debris from walking areas and lawns, trimming trees and shrubbery, removing weeds from lawns and fields and operating various lawn tools and equipment.
- Assists with irrigation installations and repairs by determining problems, repairing and replacing parts, digging holes for accessibility and installation purposes, etc.
- Operate necessary equipment, tools and vehicles associated with tasks listed above.
- Inspects park areas and facilities for repairs.
- Inspects and maintains parks equipment.
- Assists with special events as required including set-up and tear-down.
- May be required to work occasional weekends and evenings.
- Perform daily and preventive maintenance on vehicles and equipment.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications :
