As a Psychiatry Sales Account Manager, you will spearhead the promotion of our cutting-edge psychiatry portfolio, implementing innovative sales and marketing strategies grounded in comprehensive clinical knowledge. Our Account Managers excel in overcoming commercialization challenges in a rapidly evolving sector and are required to demonstrate expertise in the following key areas :
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
- Business Planning & Account Leadership : Utilize digital tools and data-driven insights to identify opportunities, formulate strategies, allocate resources effectively, track progress, and optimize sales outcomes.
- Selling : Communicate effectively with customers, uncover their needs, address objections skillfully, and conclude every interaction with a commitment to tangible action.
- Customer Development : Cultivate and sustain productive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, aligning customer needs with organizational objectives.
- Local Market & Therapeutic Area Expertise : Analyze market dynamics, establish account linkages, and leverage therapeutic insights to identify and prioritize unique opportunities.
- Reimbursement : Stay informed on reimbursement landscapes, proactively addressing payer access challenges by utilizing Lundbeck resources.
- Pharmaceutical Environment / Compliance : Navigate the pharmaceutical and regulatory landscape while adhering to Lundbeck's policies and FDA regulations related to product promotion.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS :
Bachelor's degree in Arts or Sciences from an accredited institution.A minimum of 2 years of experience in pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, medical device sales, or related healthcare sales.Proven capacity to excel in disease and product training examinations, including annual product knowledge certification.A self-motivated individual with a strong work ethic and excellent communication skills.Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable with digital tools.Must reside within 40 miles of the defined territory boundaries.A valid driver's license with a safe driving record is essential for this role.Compliance with industry-standard credentialing of healthcare providers is required for continued employment.PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS :
Experience within a specialty product sales force.Background in promoting products related to CNS / neuroscience, including treatments for depression, schizophrenia, and bipolar disorder.Track record of successful sales performance.Accountability in developing and executing integrated account plans.Strong analytical skills with experience in utilizing sales data reporting tools to identify trends.Experience with product launches.Previous engagement with alliance partners on co-promotions is a plus.Demonstrated leadership through participation in committees, panels, and other collaborative activities.TRAVEL :
Willingness to travel up to 30%-40% for client interactions and internal meetings, with attendance at 4-8 conferences across the U.S. expected. Travel should be timely and efficient.The salary range for this position is $117,000 - $137,000, with an annual sales incentive target of $39,000.
