Location : Remote (North America or Europe preferred)

Commitment : 30 hours per week

Duration : 6 months

Start Date : October 2025

Overview

We are seeking a Technical Writer to lead a critical documentation initiative. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on bringing order to complexity and creating clear, structured content that empowers developers. You will help design a world‑class developer portal, consolidating existing resources into a unified, self‑service knowledge base.

Responsibilities

  • Design the Documentation Experience : Create intuitive information architecture for tutorials, how‑to guides, technical references, and explanations. Establish style guides and standards for consistency.
  • Transform Complex Technology into Clear Communication : Write progressive documentation from quickstarts to in‑depth references. Collaborate with product and engineering teams to document new features.
  • Lead Content Migration : Audit existing resources, identify gaps, and manage consolidation. Develop interactive API documentation with code examples.
  • Enable Self‑Service Success : Build troubleshooting guides that reduce support tickets. Anticipate and address common developer challenges.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of technical writing experience (API documentation / developer tools a plus).
  • Familiarity with documentation platforms (ReadMe, GitBook, Docusaurus, etc.).
  • Proficiency with Markdown or similar markup and version control (Git).
  • Experience managing large documentation projects and content migrations.
  • Understanding of OpenAPI / Swagger and interactive documentation tools.
  • Ability to read and understand common programming languages.
  • Strong attention to detail and project management skills.
