DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Corrections Utility Plant Operator, you will perform work and oversee inmate work crews completing tasks related to the operation, maintenance, and repair of a boiler plant. You will m aintain efficient operations of four natural gas fired high temperature hot water boilers and two natural gas fired steam boilers under normal and emergency conditions. You will also u tilize manual and automatic controls, p erform scheduled and unscheduled operational assessments, and read visual and aural gauges, meters, and sensing devices. This role requires the ability to analyze problems and provide appropriate solutions that will ensure a continuous supply of heat and hot water. In addition, you will t est boiler water chemistry and water softening systems, record test results, and inventory water treatment chemicals, reagents, and supplies needed to perform testing.

Work Schedule and Additional Information :

• Full-time employment, 40 hours per week
• Work hours are 2 : 00 PM to 10 : 00 PM, with a 30-minute lunch.

Pass days will be Friday-Saturday or Sunday-Monday
