Clinical Nurse III - Critical Care Float Pool

Join our dynamic team in the Critical Care Float Pool! This is a fantastic opportunity for RNs to develop and enhance critical care skills across various areas, including Neuro-Surgical Trauma ICU, Medical ICU, Coronary Care Unit, Cardiovascular ICU, and our intermediate care ICU - the MSICU.

As part of the Critical Care Float Pool, you'll also have the chance to gain competencies in Emergency Department care and neuro-progressive care settings. Work within all critical care areas at Albany Medical Center, the region's only Level I trauma center.

The Clinical Nurse plays a vital role in creating a compassionate and caring environment for patients, families, and colleagues through kindness and active listening. We recognize the value of every employee's contributions to our success.

Key Responsibilities :

• Implement physician orders and administer medications
• Start IVs, perform treatments and special tests as required
• Assess and evaluate patient needs and responses to care
• Apply sound nursing judgment in patient management decisions
• Provide primary and emergency care for various injuries and illnesses
• Collaborate with the nursing team to create comprehensive Plans of Care
• Direct and guide ancillary personnel while maintaining nursing standards
