Security Systems Specialist

Responsibilities Classification : Exempt / Non-Bargaining Location : Position may be located remote in NY, PA, ME, NH or VT.

Risk assessments : Conducting risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and devise appropriate security measures.

Security tools : Evaluating new security tools and technologies.

Installation : Installing and configuring security systems, including access control devices, surveillance cameras, and alarm systems.

Maintenance : Performing routine maintenance on security systems, including cleaning, adjusting, and updating software.

Assist with the development of security maintenance programs for systems and networks.

Troubleshooting : Diagnosing and resolving technical issues with security systems.

Repair : Repairing and replacing faulty components in security systems.

Testing : Testing the functionality of security systems after installation and maintenance.

Documentation : Maintaining accurate records of system installations, repairs, and maintenance.

Training : Training users on how to operate and maintain security systems.

System Integration : Assisting with the integration of security systems with other technologies.

Compliance : Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards; including SAS and SOX audits and certifications and Department of Homeland Security standards.

Position will require occasional travel to facilities within ME, NH, or VT - approximately 5 days per month at regional sites or in a nearby office.

Qualifications :

Education : Bachelor's degree or +5 years experience in a security installation and systems is preferred.

Experience : +5 years experience with CCTV, alarm systems or corporate Security Systems (such as CCure and Access It) installation, programming and maintenance is required.

Technical Skills : Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Teams etc.) and related software and basic networking knowledge.

Communication Skills : Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Analytical Skills : Ability to analyze data and interpret results.

Problem-Solving Skills : Ability to identify and resolve environmental issues.

Interpersonal Skills : Ability to work effectively with a diverse group of people.

Other : Knowledge of environmental regulations, sustainable practices, and waste management techniques.

Physical Demands : May involve some physical activity, such as walking, standing, and lifting. May require working / travel in various weather conditions.

Working Conditions : Position will require occasional travel to facilities within ME, NH, or VT - approximately 5 days per month at regional sites or in a nearby office. May involve working in an office environment, as well as outdoors or in a facility. May require working evenings, weekends, or holidays, depending on the specific requirements of the job.
