Responsibilities as Registered Dietitian :
- Assist the food services staff in the development and use of departmental procedures governing food service activities, equipment, supplies etc.
- Review and develop a plan of correction for any food service deficiencies noted during state / federal survey and provide written copy of such plan to the Administrator for approval
- Maintain an ongoing quality assurance program for the Food Services Department
- Review dietary requirements and / or restrictions of admitted patients in accordance with attending physician's diet plans
- Assist the Discharge Planning Coordinator in planning the food services portion of the resident's discharge plan
- Assist in developing diet plans for individual residents and planning regular and specialized diets as prescribed by attending physician
Qualifications for Registered Dietitian :
Bachelor's degree required.Active current registered Dietitian required.2 years of clinical experience preferred.Expertise in clinical nutrition, preferably geriatric rehab care practices in a skilled nursing setting.Possess knowledge of all applicable local, state and federal regulatory statues and guidelines pertaining to healthcare in the skilled nursing setting.Benefits of Registered Dietitian :
