Travel Nursing Job Details Location : Austin, Texas 78704 – South Austin healthcare jobs in a lively, sought-after area Assignment Length : 13 weeks Start Date : September 29, 2025 End Date : December 29, 2025 Shift : 12-hour night shifts (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM) Hours per Week : 36 Estimated Weekly Salary : $1470 - $1570 Unit : Intermediate Care Unit (IMC) – 22 beds Weekend Requirement : Every other weekend Dress Code : Navy scrubs Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Texas or compact state Minimum 1 year of recent experience in cardiac stepdown, IMC, or Progressive Care Unit (PCU) settings Proficient in cardiac monitoring, rhythm interpretation, and telemetry nursing Experience administering potent non-titratable drips Skilled in caring for respiratory patients (tracheostomies, BiPAP, Airvo) Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required Strong teamwork, communication, and adaptability in a fast-paced clinical environment Cardiac Stepdown RN Responsibilities Deliver high-quality, patient-centered nursing care in the Intermediate Care Unit (IMC) Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, responding promptly to changes in patient status Administer and monitor non-titratable cardiac drips as per protocol Provide respiratory care for patients with tracheostomies and those on BiPAP or Airvo Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, including charge nurses and patient care technicians Float as needed to Telemetry and TCU Stepdown units within the hospital Document all patient care activities accurately using Meditech EMR Maintain a safe, supportive, and compassionate environment for all patients Apply now to join our healthcare team in Austin, Texas, and take the next step in your travel nursing career!
