Licensed Practical Nurse- Bryan Heart Improvement
Assists physicians with examinations and procedures to serve the medical needs of patients with various cardiac related health conditions in a professional, confidential, and caring manner. Coordinates the flow of patients, phone calls, lab work, and nurse visits to facilitate quality patient care and customer service goals. Provides professional nursing care as prescribed by the physician and in compliance with the Nebraska Nurse Practice Act, any applicable licensure / certification requirement and organizational policies and procedures.

13. Assists Bryan Heart with pre-authorizations, release of information requests, FMLA certification, etc.
14. Responds to / refers incoming patient treatment-related phone calls.
15. Maintains patient confidentiality.
16. Manages work hours, supplies, and other clinical costs in line with fiscal responsibility and budget.
17. Attends meetings and participates on committees as assigned.
18. May assist provider in both Lincoln and Outreach Clinic sites.
19. Maintains professional growth and development through seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations to keep abreast of latest trends in field of expertise.
20. Participates in meetings, committees and department projects as assigned.
21. Performs other related projects and duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :
Graduation from an accredited professional nursing program required. Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the State of Nebraska required. Minimum of one (1) year nursing experience required, clinic nursing preferred.
