Business Strategic Analyst

This position will be based at Southern Co Gas Corp HQ - 10 Peachtree Place, Atlanta, GA. This position is flexible hybrid with 4 days per week required in the office.

The Business Strategic Analyst is pivotal in enhancing operational efficiency and driving strategic initiatives, particularly in areas such as Customer Operations and Safety & Technical Training. This role involves utilizing skills in project management, process integration, and change management to support enterprise initiatives and gain essential business experience. Analysts are responsible for managing business process improvements, coordinating across various functions, and applying project management practices to deliver effective solutions.

They lead strategic process improvements, engage with departmental leaders, and drive decision-making and change adoption to ensure alignment with the company's strategic objectives. The position demands strong project management and process integration skills, a proven ability to manage improvements across functions, and experience in leading strategic initiatives. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, along with the capacity to drive innovation and support long-term strategic goals.

Support system enhancements and new technology solutions projects on behalf of the business, providing experience insights and feedback to foster customer centric solution and alignment with strategic objectives to ensure project milestones and deliverables are met.

Ensure business processes and technology are aligned by collaborating with stakeholders to identify any process gaps & provide awareness to stakeholders.

Assist in the ideation of solutions to basic process / data-driven problems and document solution recommendations.

Provide business support for the development of technical solutions ensuring scope and requirements align with the needs of the business users.

Ensure recommendations align with strategic objectives and needs of the business users.

Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.

Facilitate communication, training & testing efforts (when applicable) as needed for OI3 initiatives.

Provide insights, support & feedback to Change Management Team to support adoption and minimize resistance regarding the following (as needed) :

Process Improvement Plans & Strategies - including but not limited to project timeline development, task tracking and deliverable monitoring

Adoption & Sustainability Strategies

Project Risks and Basic Mitigation Plans

Communication Plans Execution

Business Continuity Plans

Prefer a bachelor's degree in Business, Technology or related, utility field experience

Experience in process improvement or project management with working knowledge of process documentation tools, project management methodologies, and tools

Strong & demonstrated verbal and written communication skills

Ability to learn and understand customer needs and assist in identifying how existing and new technologies can support innovative solutions.

Ability to engage with business leaders at various levels concerning their organizational goals, needs, and focus areas.

Ability to facilitate meetings with stakeholders in ideating, developing and implementing strategies that enhance the employee and / or customer experience across all customer channels

Understanding of utility industry and business practices for Customer Experience, Field Operations, or Technology preferred.

Working Knowledge of business-related systems (i.e. CIS, CSS, CMA, CCB, etc.) preferred

Working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and other presentation software; (Knowledge of PM software JIRA, Monday, Asana, MS Project etc. is a plus)

Minimal travel required; In-Person Office attendance required.
