Business Program Manager Sr

The Business Program Manager Sr is a senior-level strategic operator who partners directly with the Head of the business line and leadership team to drive execution of high-impact projects, facilitate cross-functional initiatives, and support executive decision-making. This role requires a deep understanding of business operations, project leadership, and financial analysis. The incumbent plays a pivotal role in translating strategic intent into operational results, frequently acting on behalf of executive leadership and applying sound judgment in sensitive or complex situations. The position is a core driver of operational effectiveness and long-term planning efforts for the business line.

Job Responsibilities

  • Strategic Project Leadership
  • Leads end-to-end execution of cross-functional projects and initiatives aligned with business strategy.
  • Drives scope definition, timelines, stakeholder alignment, risk mitigation, and implementation.
  • Conducts deep-dive research and analysis to shape strategic decisions and influence outcomes.
  • Executive Communications & Thought Partnership
  • Develops and delivers high-quality executive content including pitch decks, board materials, and business line updates.
  • Acts as a thought partner to leadership, synthesizing complex data into clear, concise insights.
  • Facilitates business planning sessions, annual operating reviews, and leadership summits.
  • Business & Financial Analysis
  • Provides proactive insights through quantitative and qualitative analysis on topics including headcount, budget, product performance, client engagement, and market trends.
  • Interprets data to inform decision-making, often recommending strategic shifts or changes to execution.
  • Operational Oversight & Governance
  • Owns key operational processes such as onboarding, systems access, and compliance tracking for the business line.
  • Maintains relationships with partners across HR, Risk, Finance, and Technology to ensure alignment on business needs.
  • Administrative & Logistical Coordination
  • Oversees schedule, travel, and key logistics for Head of business line and leadership as needed.
  • Coordinates high-profile meetings, offsites, and internal / external stakeholder events.
  • Delegates or manages administrative functions efficiently to ensure executive focus on top priorities.
  • Uses independent judgment and discretion to make decisions
  • Analyzes and resolves problems

Additional Accountabilities

  • Performs special projects, and additional duties and responsibilities as required.
  • Consistently adheres to regulatory and compliance policies and standards linked to the job as listed and complete required compliance trainings. Accountable to maintain compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations.
  • Job Requirements

    Required Qualifications :

  • Education level required : High School / High School Equivalency (GED, HiSET, TASC) / Foreign Equivalent or commensurate experience
  • Minimum experience required : 10+ Years in a business analyst and / or project management or similar role in the financial services industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to create executive level presentations.
  • Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft applications with an emphasis on PowerPoint, Excel, and Sharepoint.
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Education level preferred : Undergraduate Degree (4 years or equivalent)
  • Specific experience / business acumen within the business line
  • Project management experience.

  • Demonstrates a strong ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders by communicating clearly, engaging in proactive collaboration, and leveraging cross functional insights. Aligns relationship building efforts with enterprise goals to accelerate performance and drive strategic results.
  • Builds trusted client relationships, whether internal or external, by identifying needs and delivering tailored solutions to enhance the overall client experience.
