Job Requirements

Education Requirements : Associate's degree or higher in Physical Therapy Assistant program from an accredited institution

Certifications Requirements : PTA license in California, CPR certification, and BLS certification

Experience Requirements : Minimum of 1 year of outpatient rehab experience

Other Requirements : Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently, physically capable of performing therapy activities

Job Responsibilities

Provide outpatient physical therapy services to patients of all ages, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans based on physician orders and patient needs.

Evaluate patient progress regularly, adjusting therapy techniques and goals to ensure optimal recovery outcomes.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, nurses, and other therapy staff to coordinate patient care effectively.

Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of patient sessions, progress notes, and treatment plans in compliance with facility policies and regulations.

Educate patients and their families on home exercise programs and strategies to promote ongoing recovery and wellness.
