Cash Application Specialist

The Cash Application Specialist is responsible for accurately and timely posting and reconciling client payments across multiple methods, including ACH, wire, check, and credit card transactions and supports daily cash operations.

Responsibilities :

• Ensure accurate and timely posting of payments to client files, including ACH / wires, checks, and credit cards in accordance with accounting policies and procedures.
• Scan and prepare payment posting batches to GL / billing system.
• Prepare daily cash log for payments received by mail and EFT.
• Research payment issues and communicate with other departments for a resolution.
• Use external commercial and third-party web portals to research and identify payment allocation for partial payments by working professional.
• Work closely with AR on tracking payments and credits for reconciliations and refunds.
• Assist with tracking and reissuing uncleared checks.
• Assist with Special Projects as assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Physical Requirements

Primarily sedentary work. Exerting up to 30 pounds of force occasionally and / or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and / or fingers. The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as : preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading. Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards. Must have the ability to walk short distances, and / or drive a vehicle to deliver and pick up materials. Work can be performed with or without accommodations.

5-10% domestic travel by car and plane.

$26.00 - $28.00 / hour
