Quality Supervisor
Eaton's AER FMC division is currently seeking a Quality Supervisor. Eaton's Charleston, SC location has long served as a Machining Center of Excellence for our Aerospace Group, with just under 200 employees, manufacturing hydraulic pumps for commercial and military aircraft. The expected annual salary range for this role is $93750.03 - $137500.04 a year. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. The Quality Supervisor is responsible for the verification of product to requirements / processes, leading the inspection team, quality training, inspection technology specification / selection, problem investigation, discrepant material review, and disposition / recovery. The specific functions of this position include the following :
- Develop, implement, and monitor all relevant procedures described in the Quality Management System (QMS)
- Lead internal audit program and AS9100 compliance
- Manage a team of hourly employees in the quality function including directing work and managing performance.
- Maintain accurate records to comply with company and customer record retention requirements.
- Determine, develop, and monitor inspection and verification techniques to meet design requirements, including new product releases for prototype and production products.
- Coordinate training on MSA, gage selection and use, GD&T, and special inspection techniques (e.g. flatness measurement).
- Monitor and create action plans to meet key business metrics including Productivity, On-Time Delivery, First Pass Yield, and Cycle Time / Backlog.
- Develop methods to eliminate quality problems and improve manufacturing process through collaboration with Manufacturing Engineering, Supplier Quality, Supply Chain Management, and suppliers.
- Work with internal and external customers to interpret or reach agreement on quality procedures and acceptability of products.
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement and the implementation of Lean activities to eliminate waste in key processes.
