Diesel Mechanic & Fabricator

Meyers Truck Service is looking for a Truck Fabricator and Welder to build and install feed mixer trucks. Along with a background as a Heavy Duty Technician that is a dependable team player with prior technician experience. Proficient knowledge of diesel engines is a requirement for this position.

• Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to :
• Fabricating and Welding Truck Frames and other parts on trucks / heavy-duty equipment
• Cutting materials into the required shapes, checking dimensions and thicknesses
• Welding or joining metal and other materials into a wide range of structures
• Operating tools and machinery and welding equipment
• Inspecting and testing welds with precision measuring instruments
• Produce strong clean welds
• Machining fabrication materials and components
• Fitting, setting, and installing fabricated structures
• Cutting and welding with a variety of processes
• Metal forming, bending, and finishing
• Repair, design, layout, and estimation
• Operating a torch and plasma cutter
• Knowledge on Hydraulics for PTO install & plumbing
• Skills :
• Welding, Electrical, and Mechanic Sills
• Ability to use technical manuals and resources for diagnosis and repair
• Strong communication skills
• Attention to Detail
• Operating tools and machinery, torch, plasma cutter, and welding equipment

• Ability to stand, sit, stoop, or bend for extended periods of time.
• Must have the ability to lift in excess of 80 lbs
• Qualifications :
• Valid driver's license required
• CDL preferred, not required
• Proficient knowledge of welding, fabrication, electrical, and mechanical
• 10+ Years Experience
• Must have truck modification experience.
• Must have complete set of tools / toolbox. Pictures required. (3 / 4 and above supplied)
• Schedule :

Monday Friday 7am 5pm

No Weekends

• Pay Range :

$30 - $50 per hour based on experience
