General Information :
The unit consists of a small number of beds, with a patient ratio of 1 : 1.
Staffing includes registered nurses and additional support personnel.
The type of equipment in use includes advanced monitoring and ultrasound technology.
The documentation system utilized is electronic.
Scheduling requirements include weekday shifts, with an on-call expectation.
Floating within the scope of practice and experience is expected.
Patient experience requirements include critical care experience, with pre-operative experience being a plus.
Advanced skills necessary for this position include ACLS certification.
Procedures performed on this unit include large-bore IV starts, hair removal, medication administration, skin assessments, and assistance with various line placements.
Transporting patients to the operating room and assisting with induction and positioning is also part of the role.
