The DevOps Engineer is highly skilled in automating and streamlining operations and processes, building and maintaining deployment, monitoring, and operations tools, and troubleshooting and resolving issues in development, test, and production environments. Supports the organization's Development Operations (DevOps) strategy to ensure quality software deployments and maximize the overall health, availability, security, reliability, and performance of critical business systems. Using expert knowledge of AWS services, the DevOps Engineer II supports business applications in the AWS environment and works closely with Corporate IT and Security to ensure PCI compliance security standards are met.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following :

• Partner with Network, Security, Development, and QA teams to determine how best to migrate business systems.
• Automate the deployment of environments using IAC tooling such as Terraform.
• Work with development to design and implement improved deployment, provisioning, and integration pipelines; ensure environments are in good working order and identify areas and plans for improvement.
• Use CI / CD toolsets to deploy services to existing infrastructure from a single point or repository.
• Develop monitoring for business systems to track performance, resource utilization, and consumption using tools such as CloudWatch, CloudTrail or Elasticsearch.
• Build reusable AMI's for scripted deployments of infrastructure in AWS across multiple regions.
• Work with existing DevOps to develop needed log retention for AWS instance business applications for retrieval per audit policy and PCI compliance.
