Reporting Lead / Techno Functional
The Information Technology Business Application Functional Analysis team supports enterprise-wide business applications and processes, ensuring the effective operation and enhancement of a diverse portfolio of campus-wide business applications. The ERP Reporting Lead is responsible for overseeing the design, development, and delivery of reporting and analytics solutions in support of the university's Oracle Cloud ERP implementation, spanning Human Capital Management (HCM), Finance (FIN), and Supply Chain Management (SCM) modules. This role ensures that reporting capabilities meet enterprise-wide business needs, support strategic decision-making, and uphold institutional standards for data quality, security, and privacy.
Serving as the primary point of coordination for reporting across ERP workstreams, the Reporting Lead partners with functional and technical stakeholders to gather requirements, define data sources, and ensure timely and accurate delivery of reports and dashboards. The role also governs the integration and optimization of secondary reporting platforms such as Cognos, Tableau, or Power BI, ensuring consistency and alignment between native Oracle reporting tools (e.g., OTBI, BI Publisher) and institutional business intelligence ecosystems. The Reporting Lead applies structured project management and business analysis methodologies to drive the delivery of scalable, sustainable reporting solutions. This includes translating complex reporting needs into actionable specifications, aligning designs with institutional data governance standards, and partnering with ERP and BI teams to implement reports that meet regulatory, operational, and strategic requirements.
This role requires a blend of strategic insight and technical execution, with proven experience delivering enterprise reporting solutions in Oracle Cloud ERP environments. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong stakeholder engagement skills, a deep understanding of ERP data structures, and familiarity with Higher Education or Healthcare operational contexts.

Define reporting requirements and translate them into scalable solutions using both native Oracle reporting tools and secondary BI platforms.
Manage the rationalization, redesign, or decommissioning of legacy reports to ensure continuity during the ERP transition.
Develop and maintain reporting documentation, specifications, and metadata aligned with institutional data governance practices.
Blend technical expertise with an understanding of business practices, processes, and industry standards to ensure all solutions align with leading practices and organizational goals.
Project Planning, Coordination, and Stakeholder Engagement-30%
Coordinating reporting workstream activities across design, configuration, prototyping, testing, and deployment phases.
Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements, refine objectives, and manage expectations. Provide regular updates on project progress, barriers, and risks to promote alignment with organizational goals.
Collaborate with application and process owners to manage project changes, ensuring compliance with applicable policies and project plans while meeting strategic and functional objectives.
Risk Management, Quality Assurance, and Compliance-20%
Track and report on project risks, barriers, and contingencies, implementing mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project outcomes.
Supporting data validation efforts, reconciliation, and source-to-target mapping activities to ensure reporting accuracy.
Ensure quality control processes are in place to validate that deliverables meet organizational standards for accuracy, security, and functionality.
Work with technical and policy experts to implement controls for data privacy and security, ensuring compliance with laws, policies, and enterprise standards.
Documentation and Other Assigned Duties
Document project plans, technical specifications, and processes to support ongoing maintenance, knowledge transfer, and future enhancements.
Provide additional project support customary for ERP implementation, such as coordinating end-user training, managing testing activities, assisting with data migration tasks, and facilitating retrospectives.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Advanced knowledge of business process analysis, with experience in process improvement, requirements gathering, and translating business needs into reporting and technical solutions.
Demonstrated project leadership and coordination skills, with experience managing complex projects involving cross-functional teams and cross-system dependencies.
Minimum of 4 years of experience as a techno-functional analyst or reporting lead, with strong understanding of relational databases, SQL, ERP data structures, and the system development life cycle.
Experience developing and supporting ERP reporting solutions using tools such as OTBI, BI Publisher, Cognos, Tableau, or Power BI.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in ERP Human Capital Management (HCM), Finance, or Supply Chain implementations (e.g., Oracle Cloud, PeopleSoft, Workday, or Oracle R12), serving as senior team member, team lead, or Project Manager on at least one full-cycle implementation.
Demonstrated experience with ERP reporting validation, test planning, and functional configuration across multiple ERP modules.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to interpret complex data, assess quality and completeness, and resolve reporting-related issues.
Experience in data analysis, dashboard design, and leveraging reporting to support business decision-making.
Self-motivated and able to work independently, demonstrating adaptability to changing priorities in a fast-paced ERP implementation environment.
Knowledge of data privacy, role-based access, and security practices as applied to enterprise reporting and ERP systems.
Education
BS in Computer Science, Information System, or related field and 5 or more years of directly related experience; and / or equivalent experience / training..
