Job Description Summary :

This Medical Assistant will support the General Cardiology outpatient clinic within Providence Health & Services. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity open to both local and non-local candidates who are willing to relocate permanently if the assignment is successful. The role combines direct patient care with administrative responsibilities such as chart preparation telephone triage and handling authorization forms. Reliable transportation is required due to possible travel between satellite clinics.

Responsibilities :

Perform patient rooming obtain vitals height / weight pulse oximetry.

Perform and obtain 12-lead EKG / ECG .

Prepare charts process refills support in-basket tasks.

Conduct telephone triage and manage patient inquiries.

Complete authorization forms and insurance verification.

Support cardiology providers in an outpatient adult clinic setting.

Travel to nearby satellite clinics as needed (Seattle Edmonds Ballard Redmond Bellevue).

Float to other clinics within scope to meet facility needs.

Key Requirements :

Must have reliable transportation (public transportation not acceptable).

Must be able to handle chart prep telephone triage and authorizations.

Must be open to floating within scope as needed.

Non-locals must provide a written statement confirming willingness to relocate permanently .

Guaranteed hours : facility may call off up to 1 shift per pay period .

Must have no additional scheduling restrictions.

RTO restrictions must be approved by the hiring manager.

Qualifications Education :

Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program (preferred).

Providence will consider MA-C (preferred) or MA-R (acceptable).

Experience :

Minimum 0.5 years (6 months) Medical Assistant experience required.

Cardiology experience preferred but primary care experience is acceptable.

License / Certifications :

BLS Required

State Medical Assistant Credential : MA-C preferred; MA-R accepted.

Must meet Washington state MA registration / certification requirements.

Skills :

EPIC experience Required

Ability to room patients and obtain accurate vitals.

Ability to perform 12-lead EKG / ECG.

Insurance verification & authorization form processing.

Pharmacy & refill request coordination.

Telephone triage and clinical communication.

Familiarity with adult outpatient cardiology settings (preferred).

Ability to travel between multiple clinic locations.
