Assistant Director Of Student Organizations And Club Sports
The Assistant Director of Student Organizations and Club Sports provides management and support for student organizations and club sports within the Office of Student Engagement. This is a full-time, benefits eligible, salaried position with a hiring range of $56,702 - $70,908 per year. Core responsibilities include overseeing all day-to-day operations regarding student organizations and club sports and providing supervision to a team of Student Organization Coordinators. The role also supports student org registration and re-registration processes and manages compliance to remain in good standing and mitigate risk. Additionally, the position educates student leaders about college policy, including event planning requirements, hazing and non-discrimination infractions, and financial responsibilities. The Assistant Director maintains and updates the student engagement platform, provides oversight and supports all aspects of the college's club sports program, and ensures existing club sports teams comply with all relevant college policies. The role also approves all club sports competition and travel schedules and on-campus tournaments. The Assistant Director develops training and provides support for club sports advisors and coaches.
Requirements include a bachelor's degree, with a master's degree preferred. Candidates should have 3-5 years of experience working with student organizations or club sports, with graduate assistantship experience being applicable. Demonstrated ability to work with and support a diverse student body with a focus on equity and inclusion is essential. The role requires the ability to function successfully as part of a team with overlapping and disparate responsibilities, experience with budget tracking, assessment, and policy review, and creative problem-solving skills. A valid driver's license is also required.
Physical demands and working conditions include some night and weekend work and the ability to operate standard office equipment. An offer for this position is contingent upon successful completion of a criminal background check and references.
