Human Resources Business Partner
The Human Resources Business Partner will serve as a strategic business partner to organizational leadership and employees in designated business units. They will align Human Resources practices with business goals to support the organization's success. The Human Resources Business Partner will provide daily Human Resources guidance, and recommend Human Resources strategies to improve work relationships, employee engagement, and productivity. They will maintain an effective level of business literacy about the assigned business units financial position, goals, culture and competition.
This is a remote position available in the United States, this person would reside in New York City.

Responsibilities
- Establish a collaborative working relationship with business leaders in assigned business units and across organization. Be present and visible in assigned worksites to build relationships with leaders and employees. Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
- Provide day to day performance management guidance around coaching, counseling, career development and disciplinary action. Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation.
- Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues. Conduct effective, thorough and objective investigations. Follow up with urgency to ensure employee relations issues are resolved promptly.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees to reduce legal risks and ensure regulatory compliance. Partner with the legal department as needed / required.
- Utilize data and reporting analytics to identify trends and offer recommendations for addressing areas where improvement is needed. Review relevant data with assigned business leaders to develop and implement strategies focused on engagement and retention, and monitor progress and success of these strategies.
- Guide operational leadership in the areas of diversity, equity and inclusion in collaboration with DEI team. Support awareness training objectives, company goals, and inclusive employment practices.
- In collaboration with other COEs within the HR organization, provide guidance in administration of HR practices. Leverage COEs to support the objective and goals of business units.
- Provide guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planning.
- Ensure fair and equitable practices with employees including compliance with company policies and local, state and federal legal standards. Respond to employee complaints and inquiries with urgency.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelors Degree or HR Certification is preferred7 years of proven HR experience with a minimum of three years of employee relations experienceMulti-site service industry preferredAbility to travel to assigned business units within New York City (50% travel)Minimum of 3 years of experience resolving complex employee relations issuesWorking knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation and benefits, organizational diagnosis, employee relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment lawsMust have excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail required.Problem solving, diplomacy and good judgment in considering the impact of decisions is essential.Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies.Ability to acquire a thorough understanding of the organizations hierarchy, jobs, qualifications, compensation practices, and the administrative practices related to those factors.Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.Must be a critical thinker and have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.Knowledge of HRIS preferred.At this time, Bright Horizons will not sponsor an applicant for employment authorization / visa for this position.Compensation : $90,000 - $95,000 / year
