Position Summary

Join our dynamic team as a Metrology Calibration Technician, where you will focus primarily on performing on-site calibrations across the Phoenix Metropolitan area with our mobile calibration team. This multifunctional role also includes in-lab calibration duties, offering a diverse and engaging work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct on-site calibrations of electrical, mechanical, and electronic instruments within the Phoenix Metropolitan area, ensuring adherence to industry standards and customer specifications.
  • Perform in-lab calibrations as required, maintaining the flexibility to work across different environments.
  • Manage and execute routine maintenance and repairs on both field and lab calibration equipment.
  • Generate and maintain precise calibration records and certificates for all services performed.
  • Develop and implement calibration procedures and protocols, adapting them for field conditions when necessary.
  • Work closely with the quality assurance team to address any calibration discrepancies and enhance accuracy and reliability.
  • Offer technical support and advice to customers on-site, helping them understand calibration processes and equipment maintenance.
  • Keep abreast of the latest developments in metrology and calibration technology, as well as applicable industry standards.
  • Qualifications

  • Must have at least 2 years of experience in metrology laboratory settings and / or field calibration services roles. Very strong preference for PMEL or TMDE qualified individuals. Provide a copy of your Certificate of Graduation.
  • Associate degree in Engineering, Metrology, or a related technical field; Bachelor's degree or professional certifications such as ASQ CCT preferred.
  • Expertise in using calibration equipment and measurement techniques for a variety of instruments.
  • Knowledge of industry standards like ISO IEC 17025 and ISO 9001.
  • Exceptional analytical, troubleshooting, and detail-oriented skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively both independently and within a team.
  • Proficient in computer applications for calibration documentation and record-keeping.
