Description :

Summary : The Packaging Associate role is one that packages finished products in gaylords, and ensures all necessary steps are taken to get each gaylord & pallet ready to be taken to the warehouse for shipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibility :

  • Catches & receives bagged diapers on the conveyor to be placed in gaylords
  • Verifies all information printed on each bag is correct
  • Verifies all bags meet the weight standard
  • Ensure empty bags are correctly placed in the bagger
  • Ensures production orders are started, as well as License Plate Numbers (LPNs) are created correctly
  • Guides temporary associates in end of line operations
  • Communicates with line operators, end of line leads, and material handlers
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Supervisory Responsibilities : This position has no direct reports.

Requirements :

Education and / or Experience :

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
  • Previous experience in manufacturing, packaging, or warehouse operations preferred.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions with strong attention to detail.
  • Basic math and computer skills for verifying weights, counts, and production orders.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand for extended periods, and perform manual labor.
  • Flexibility to perform additional tasks as assigned and adapt to changing priorities.

    • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :

  • Accuracy in Packaging
  • Adherence to all safety procedures and zero avoidable safety incidents.
  • Effective collaboration with operators, leads, and material handlers.
  • Attendance, punctuality, and ability to complete tasks consistently without disruption to workflow.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks while maintaining accuracy.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with team members, leads, and temporary associates.

    • Physical Demands :

  • Must be able to stand and walk for the majority of the shift.
  • Frequent bending, stooping, and reaching required.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
  • Ability to perform repetitive hand and arm movements.
  • Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures, noise levels, and continuous production line activity.

    • Work Environment :

  • Work is performed in a manufacturing and warehouse setting.
  • Exposure to moderate to loud noise levels, moving machinery, and forklifts.
  • May experience fluctuating temperatures depending on the season.
  • Requires use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, ear protection, and safety glasses as provided by the company.
  • Fast-paced environment with strict production deadlines.
