Job Description
Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Physical Therapist Technician in Grand Prairie, United States! We're seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate individual to support our physical therapy department in providing exceptional care to our patients.
- Assist physical therapists in delivering high-quality patient care and treatment plans
- Prepare treatment areas and set up therapy equipment for patient sessions
- Demonstrate exercises and assist patients with prescribed therapeutic activities
- Apply hot and cold packs, and other modalities as directed by the physical therapist
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe therapy environment
- Assist patients with mobility and transfers as needed
- Document patient progress and communicate effectively with the therapy team
- Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and answering phone calls
- Ensure proper maintenance and care of therapy equipment
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide a positive and supportive patient experience
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required; current enrollment in a physical or occupational therapy curriculum program preferredExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and empathetic demeanorStrong organizational abilities and attention to detailGenuine interest in helping people and commitment to patient careSolid work ethic and ability to work collaboratively in a team environmentBasic understanding of human anatomy and physiologyAbility to follow instructions precisely and adhere to safety protocolsPhysical stamina to assist patients and handle therapy equipmentProficiency in using electronic health record systems and basic computer skillsCustomer-focused mindset with the ability to create a supportive environment for patientsFlexibility to adapt to changing schedules and patient needsCPR certification (or willingness to obtain)Green Oaks Physical Therapy values the well-being of our patients and employees.
