Job descriptionProviding care and management for post-operative total knee and total hip replacement patients Conducting evaluations and preparing pre-operative patients for surgery Performing follow-up patient examinations and assessments Administering cortisone injections Accurately reading and interpreting X-rays Active, unrestricted license as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) Experience in Orthopedics Ability to manage a surgical patient caseload from pre-op through follow-up Proficiency in performing joint injections Excellent clinical judgment and assessment skills Experience managing high-volume Orthopedic clinic patients with a focus on total joints (total knee and total hip)
A total joint orthopedic practice in Alpharetta and Buford, Georgia, is actively seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant specializing in orthopedics for a 3-month locum assignment. This role involves providing comprehensive care to patients undergoing total knee and total hip replacement surgeries.
About the Opportunity :
- Contract Type : Locum Tenens
- Contract Dates : January 1, 2026 - March 31, 2026
- Schedule : Monday through Friday
- Hours : 40 hours per week
- Setting : Outpatient Clinic
- Patient Volume : 15 patients or less per day
- Practice Call : Required 1 week every 4th week (no other on-call)
- Overtime : Paid after 24 hours daily (Fixed) and after 40 hours weekly (Fixed)
