This is an experienced VDC Specialist position where the incumbent will translate design intent contract documents or 3D design models of Plumbing, Mechanical and HVAC systems into fabrication and installation detail Building Information Models (BIMs) utilizing BIM fabrication modelling software.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Work with engineers and managers to produce LOD400 BIM for mechanical and plumbing systems.
- Work with General Contractor and other subcontractors to achieve spatial coordination of all trades.
Attend weekly coordination meetings, either onsite or virtually, to achieve spatial coordination of all trades
Generate RFIs to be submitted to the design team when requiredCreate detailed shop drawings for the purposes of fabrication and installation of associated tradesCreation and annotation of shop drawings
Creation and annotation of hanger drawingsCreation and annotation of sleeve drawingsCreation and export of hanger and sleeve coordinates to be utilized by the robotic total station layout team for field layoutCommunicate with field personnel, when required, to ensure that fabrication and installation intent is clearly communicated on shop and spool drawingsMentor and train Junior VDC SpecialistsOn the job training on the use of modelling and collaboration software

Education / experience :
2 or more years of experience with installation or 3D modelling of mechanical or plumbing systems.Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, Autodesk Fabrication CADMEP and Autodesk NavisworksKnowledge of other BIM related software is a plusA working familiarity and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint and ability to be trained in use of the Company-specific applications and softwareMust :
