Venterra has an excellent property management career opportunity for you as a full-time Roving Make Ready Technician for our South Houston Region. This role requires a strong understanding of residential interior / exterior maintenance, carpentry, appliance repair, & plumbing to ensure market ready move-ins. The ideal candidate will have rotating on-call availability and effective verbal communication skills with residents & team members. While maintenance knowledge is important, no experience within the multi-family industry is required for this position.

Given that the main focus of this role will require travel throughout the region the ideal candidate must have a valid driver's license during their employment time & have access to a working vehicle that allows the ability to travel throughout the region, as needed.

Our Roving Make Ready Technicians are responsible for ensuring that all vacated apartments are thoroughly restored to "make ready" status, preparing the apartment for new residents in a timely manner. They may also complete various service requests as assigned by the Maintenance Manager.

The Roving Make Ready Technician's role requires a wide range of various maintenance needs to assist on-site maintenance teams in the day-to-day operations of their properties. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following areas of routine, preventative, and emergency maintenance :

• Electrical
• Plumbing
• HVAC
• Appliance Repair
• Locks & Keys
• Basic Carpentry
• Painting and Drywall Repair
• Janitorial, Grounds

Requirements of the Position :

Our Roving Make Ready Technicians provide support to the Regional Maintenance Managers and the Maintenance Managers at the communities they are assigned to support while assuming a leadership role in their absence. They provide quality service to our residents, diagnose problems, and make repairs. They are responsible for routine and preventative maintenance repairs, as well as ensuring that Venterra's 48-Hour Service Guarantee is adhered to when completing service requests.
