The Director Of Wine And Spirits Is Responsible For Strategically Improving The Selection Of Wine & Spirits Showcased At Ocean Casino Resort.

Position Responsibilities Include :

• Assists with Wine & Spirits service in all Ocean Casino Resort venues where appropriate.
• Is an expert in specialized Wine Service & is able to execute all aspects in VIP / high-profile situations.
• Makes recommendations for stemware & other service items that will enhance Wine & Spirits program.
• Will leverage supplier partnerships to establish a property-wide strategy in line with program vision.
• Builds over time access to allocated items through buying patterns allowing access to rare & hard-to-find items.
• Works closely with operations team to ensure correct receiving, storage & inventory protocols are being followed.
• Inspects all storage areas & makes recommendations for maintenance & upkeep of the Wine & Spirits inventory.
• Works closely with Purchasing Team & Beverage Specialist for requisitions & warehousing where appropriate.
• Oversees all Wine Lists, Spirits Lists & Cocktail Menus accurately reflect inventory & are proofed regularly.
• Works with all venues on seasonal Cocktail Menu changes.
• Trains all venue management on Wine & Spirits service.
• Will lead trainings for hourly team members on Wine & Spirits service & technique.
• Develops concepts for & subsequently plans & executes wine seminars & other wine & spirits related dinners for the public and / or casino events.
• Performs all other related and compatible duties as assigned.
