Assistant Management Position
Door County Cooperative Hardware Division is seeking an experienced, motivated individual for a full-time, year-round assistant management position. Grow our sales by having fun in a hardware store and helping the customer have the best possible experience while they shop with us. Responsibilities include leading and optimizing operational processes, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service, monitoring buying trends and changing customer needs to ensure inventory and profitability goals are met, inventory controls, ordering, stocking, entering POs, organizing, and merchandising products, ensuring racks are fully stocked, maintaining outstanding store condition and visual merchandising standards, ensuring compliance with all company policies and procedures, and effectively addressing all customer and staff issues that may arise. Stay up-to-date with new products / services and propose innovative ideas to increase market share.
Requirements include advanced leadership and business orientation skills, exceptional organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, the ability to work independently and on a team, and flexibility to work various shifts. Experience with or willingness to learn cutting keys, filling propane tanks, and driving forklifts is preferred.
